Education and Family Investment in Youth Education versus Labour Market - Bożena Kołaczek
In this study has been appeared the role of education in the modern society from theory and practice views. Social effects of structural changes on the turn of XX and XXI century in Poland depend on essential increase of youth interesting in education in secondary-up and in high schools and taking over the learning costs by families from the state. Development of public and non-public schools on the all levels, affect increase of families expenses on education. Society appeared as main investor in education of youth in Poland. This article refers so problems as: 1) differentiation of families expenses for education depending demographic, social and economic factors; 2) children's and youth access to all levels of education from kindergarden to tertiary school; 3) youth's access to employment.

Decreasing Social Inequalities as a New Priority in Health Promotion - the Latest European and Global Tendency - Joanna Ruszkowska
Increasing percentage of old population and main causes of morbidity and mortality in European countries clearly indicate great importance of the effective health promotion and no communicable disease prevention interventions. Numerous research, conferences and policies of European Union and WHO suggest that elimination of social inequalities are crucial for reducing health inequalities. Low health literacy is linked to poorer health status and higher rates of hospital admission, less likely adherence to prescribed treatments and care plans, experience of more drug and treatment errors, and less use of preventive services. Thus, health literacy is necessary for adequate patient engagement in health promotion action.

Task-Specific Contract as the Basis of Employment - Urszula Brońska-Matula
One of the most popular civil law contracts which are the basis of employment is a task-specific contract. It is a useful agreement, convenient for a lot of people. The purpose of this article is to characterize task-specific contract as the basis of employment and to compare it with a work relationship as well as to point out advantages and disadvantages of such employment.

Alternative Way of Long-Term Unemployed Reintegration - Marcin Wożniak
The aim of the article is to present the modern programme of Long-Term Unemployed reintegration. One of key assumptions of this programme is to separate the stock of LTU into several groups characterised with specific likenesses. Reintegration methods would be individual - depending on the group type/identity. Antother component of described programme is the network of local institutions which support and monitor LTU. Furthermore, the article raises issues connected with validation of ALMP.

Opportunities and Threats School Children and Young People Face in the Area of Education and Development in Silesia - Dominika Błasiak
The article presents the results of the study "Risks and Opportunities of children and youths living in the Silesian Voivodeship in the area of education and development ". The studies were carried out in November 2009 on a representative sample of mothers of school-age children (7-18 years) by a face-to-face interview (PAPI). The purpose of the study was to obtain information on the key aspects of the lives of children and youths, as well as to estimate, based on the index of opportunities and threats, the percentage of children and youths brought up in "opportunity families" "risk families" and in the category named "intermediate".

Housing Problems in France in the Light of 16th Report of the Foundation Abbé Pierre in 2011 - Aleksandra Zubrzycka-Czarnecka
In comparison to other European countries, France is experiencing a respectively good housing situation. However still housing problems occur in Seine country with regard to considerable fraction of French society, people with low or medium incomes in particular. The article covers housing problems touching people with low or medium earnings embodied in the 16th report of the Foundation Abbé Pierre on poor housing in France. The limitations of the article allow only to pay attention to the synthesis of the concepts and recommendations for the housing policy in France.
