Zdzisław Czajka - Current Issues of Human Capital in Government Administration
The article presenting current motivation of human capital in government administration and directions of changes. In administration existing too large differentiation of pay between central offices and ministry on the same job. Office worker in administration (specjalists and managers) are paid too low to compare with private enterprises. It means increasing fluctuation of employment. Changes in pay was lean on job evaluation. The main effect of introducing job evaluation was improvement of relationship pay in office, but not between offices. The aim of job evaluation don't achieve. In government administration don’t use also another instruments of human resources process to development of human capital.

Leszek Morawski - Child Tax Credit - the Effects and a Proposition for Changes
The low employment rate and a wide range of a material poverty among families with children are serious economic problems in Poland. Introducing the 2007 tax child credit significantly increased a value of social transfers allocated to families with children. However it did not help to resolve any out of the three social policy objectives postulated by Blundell. The main drawback of the tax credit is allocating of benefits to relatively reach families. A modification of the tax credit is presented in a paper. A new tax credit is similar to employment contingent transfers and it provides benefits to families at risk of poverty at the expense of loss of income by families. Income situation of poor working families will improve and financial incentives for parents will increase as results of suggested change.

Przemysław Śleszyński - Social Spaces in Warsaw: Data from 2002 Census
Article presented analyze of urban social areas, resorted to delimitation areas on high and low status. Used data from last census (2002), based on demographical, educational, job and housing structure. On the basis this analyzes, constructed comprehensives indicators high and low social status, presented on the maps. Data analyzed in statistical and urbanistic regions.

Paweł Janukowicz - Registered Unemployment vs. Unemployment According to the Labour Force Survey (BAEL)
In Poland, two sources of data concerning unemployment rate are applied. The first one is closely linked to the registration of unemployed persons in the powiat labour offices and is called "registered unemployment". The second source is the data collected from the Labour Force Survey (Badanie Aktywności Ekonomicznej Ludności - BAEL), on the basis of which the labour force size and structure as well as the unemployment rate are assessed. When compared, the value of registered unemployment rate and the value of unemployment rate calculated on the basis of BAEL display some differences. The aim of this paper is to clarify the disparities between the registered unemployment rate and the unemployment rate estimated on the basis of BAEL, as well as to determine the factors leading to the differences in the process of calculating both indicators.

Wojciech Jarecki - Student Employment and Income
The article discusses the problem of income generated by economics students in their final year of master's degree studies. The main objective was to estimate this income, determine its sources and structure. It has been assumed that in their final year, students generate income comparable to people with secondary education. Estimates made allowed to validate the thesis advanced.
